My apologies to everyone waiting for the beta. Firebolt has been held up due to some legal issues. Nothing too serious, so don't worry it is still coming out.
I hate to be that guy who gets you excited and then says: "Delayed"
But it looks like I have to.
Expect an update real soon, things are rolling along and I will keep you all updated :)
Peace,
Drew

If you check out my comments on my Vitamin Article, you will see why. The reason is because I am using CodeIgniter as my PHP framework, and it is written in PHP4. But remember that just because it is in PHP4 doesn't mean that it will not work with PHP5.. it WILL. So there is really no negative to writing in PHP4. PHP5 is not really that great of an upgrade from 4 anyway, and for Firerift I am writing a bunch of custom classes and such.. so it doesn't really matter if it is in 4 or 5. The benefit to 4 over 5 is that it is more widely available. PHP5 never really caught on that well, and there are still hosting companies out there that offer PHP4. So Firerift will be more available to everyone.
Thanks so much for your comment Kip! I hope that answered your question :)
And as a secret announcement I am workin on putting together a screencast for everyone. Actually 2 screencasts. The first will focus on what you can do with Firerift. The second will focus on the app itself and how it all works :)
Peace,
Drew
