I have been a fan of Chan Karunamuni's work for a while now. He has an amazingly detailed and polished style. I have used much of his stuff for my personal inspiration. I always new he was an awesome designer... but now... Chan is the Man!!

His latest project Newspond not only looks awesome, but check out his rollovers (in the "comments" area). Outstanding and completely original.

Do yourself a favor and browse this thing. It is a work of art for sure.

Peace,
Drew

A site I visit every single day just got bleached. And I love it :)

Purevolume got a refreshed look today. Not a huge change, but it's a good one. The guys at Virb, inc. had fun making Purevolume more... Virb-ish. The color was bleached, and there is a lot more padding on the walls :)

Great new look for a Great old service!

Peace,
Drew

These guys are so good: PepperMelon

They were one of the first artists on Muse, back when they were going by OhSagas

They just updated their site with new stuff, and it is awesome!
Congrats on the solid work Fernando!

As promised here are some screen shots of Firebolt, the CMS I have been working hard to release to you all. It really will let designers and developers control any type of website without holding anything back.

You may notice the screen shots have missing images in them and other bugs... but that is just the way it goes with software being under constant development.

To get updates on Firebolt subscribe to the official newsletter here: GetFirebolt.com

Many more great things to come, and as you can tell I am holding a lot back. There is going to be great opportunity for the Firebolt community to help each other out and develop mini apps and functions that everyone else can plug into their own FIrebolt.

I will post a screen cast soon, once Firebolt is a bit more ready. Feel free to ask questions in the comments!

Oh and I just finished the design for the GetFirebolt.com site, and it is blowing my mind!!! :) But it will have to remain a secret until the official release.

Peace,
Drew

Sorry everyone... I'm Mr. Lame :(
You are all gonna have to hold out for another week (uhhh.. or 2) for the "Something Great is Coming" to finally be revealed. You know how it goes... sometimes good planning doesn't always happen the way you want it to. Nevertheless, it will be something great :)

On a not-so-lame note... it is January 30th and tomorrow is the last day of the month. I did say I would get you all screenshots of Firebolt before the month is up, and I meant it... so check back (very) soon for a Firebolt update :)

Peace,
Drew

I was recently approached by Vitamin ( ThinkVItamin.com ) to write some design tutorials for their online mag. Super stoked on the opportunity and honored they asked me.
For my first article I am going to write a tutorial on the patented :) Drew Wilson "Light Effects" (example is at the top left of my web page). This will be my first tutorial ever written, though I have taught many people many things face to face :)

Question for you guys... what would you like to see or learn in this tutorial relating to the Light Effects? Its going to be a photoshop tutorial, so keep that in mind. I think it could be cool if I am able to answer any questions you have about Light Effects in this tutorial, so please let me know your thoughts :)

Peace,
Drew
