Thanks to Rafael for this tip.

Check out this guy: dleskins
bigripoff.jpg

Shamelessly ripping my CSS/JS/XHTML files and design!!!
He even stole my Photos from my portfolio, and even my ACTUAL PORTFOLIO WORK!!!! Unheard of!!!!

I am in complete disbelief that someone would even want to do this??? Why?
I am gonna email the crook and will let you all know what his response is. Any help you guys can give me would be appreciated. (email him and tell him to tear it down).

Peace (...or is it now "War" lol),
Drew

I'm Back!
Today was my last day as Art Director for the amazing and incredible Walking On Water. Over the last 3 years I have created everything art related for Walking On Water, and established the brand.

It has been an amazing last 3 years, but I am now back to full-time freelance. So bring on the projects!

I have been getting a lot of projects put on my plate this last month, and I am very thankful to everyone who has contacted me! Keep em' coming!

Also, I will hopefully roll out the completely new Drew Wilson website in the next month or so. Its gonna be sweet, so stay tuned.

Peace,
Drew

I have been getting a lot of questions about Firebolt over the recent months.
Thanks so much to everyone who is interested in Firebolt and has emailed me about it in the past! It is encouraging to know there is a need out there for a completely flexible CMS.

Here is the long awaited (for some of you) official Firebolt update.

In January I will drop everything to go into full-time Firebolt development.
Firebolt is currently up and running, but I will be making a completed and updated version for public release. I have been working with Firebolt now for 2 years on Clients' websites. So I have had a lot of R&D already put into this.

What exactly is Firebolt you ask? Firebolt is a completely template independent CMS. It is a PHP CMS, but also works with Flash since it can export all data as XML. And since it is template independent, you have the freedom to make you own templates.

Here is a rough list of some of the features that will be included in the first release (due in April 2008):

OVERVIEW
- Template independent
- AJAX driven content
- Tagging engine
- Integrates with Flash using XML
- Go beyond CSS customization, Edit the XHTML structure of each function
- Multi-User
- Drag & Drop organization
- Internal search engine (text search and tag search)

BLOGGING
- Unlimited number of Blogs
- AJAX or static display & pagination built in
- Modify XHTML structure for complete control
- Commenting system with moderation option and SPAM Captcha
- Share Blogs with other users (let other users edit it)
- Transcode video files into Flash video

GALLERIES
- Multiple display functions built in (Carousel, Lightbox, Fade Gallery, etc.)
- Edit Name & Date details on each image/video
- Add an image/video to multiple Galleries without re-uploading
- Share Galleries with other users (let other users edit it)

PAGES
- Multiple Categories & Sub-Categories
- Versioning system (save multiple versions of the same Page)
- Share Pages with other users (let other users edit it)
- Site Map generation

LISTS
- Create Link lists (for blogrolls or navigation)
- Create File lists (display a list of PDF documents on you website)
- Share Files from lists within Firebolt with other Firebolt users on your account

FEEDS
- Integrated with Feedburner API
- All your feed stats in one place (blogs, galleries, etc.)
- Feeds automatically generated when you create a new Blog or Gallery

NOTES
- Users from the same Firebolt account can interact with each other and leave Notes, and comment back (keep on task and brainstorm ideas)
- Email notifications when you receive a new Note or someone comments on your Note

MODIFY
- Customize the XHTML structure of any Firebolt extrension/function
- Versioning system (save multiple versions of the same Modification)
- Publish and share your Modifications as Extensions to anyone using Firebolt (a great way to get exposure)

EXTENSIONS
- View and install new extensions created by other Firebolt users or Firebolt developers
- Manage your Extensions (switch them on or off)

USERS
- Multi-User
- Multiple Users Roles (limit access for specific users)
- Create your own User Roles
- Suspend users

SERIOUSLY A WHOLE LOT MORE

Firebolt will feel very organized and familiar. This will not feel like any other CMS when you are using it. This is not a Web 2.0 CMS, it is what I call a NPWA (Natural Progression Web Application).
Firebolt is designed with web designers in mind. I want to make it as easy as possible for designers to use Firebolt to power any kind of design they come up with.

Firebolt will be available in 2 ways. Hosted Solution, and Downloadable Solution. With the Hosted Solution you will have your own FTP access, enabling you to add files to the server yourself. Hosted solution will come in 3 flavors: Free, Basic, Pro.

A lot more details coming in the next few months (including screen shots).

Thanks again everyone!
Peace,
Drew

WOW...
Mate has got some amazing art/motion work! Check him out.

I especially love the MTV HD project. It is mind blowing.

I love this motion stuff. As a matter of fact I am on the look out for some talented 3D designers. I have plans to start a motion design studio in the very near future. So if you are, or know of, a talented 3D designer... hit me up.

I will be posting a bunch of recent motion work here in just a few weeks. (including a title sequence for an upcoming theatrical release!)

Peace,
Drew
